On the support provided to neigboring towns and municipalities in 2010

Česká rafinérská has completed negotiations on the conclusion of relevant documents on cooperation with neighboring towns and municipalities in 2010, namely in both localities where the Company operates. Despite considerable cuts in financial means due to the economic situation in crude processing sector, the documents serve – in terms of both scope and areas of cooperation – as proof of assertion of the social responsibility principle by Česká rafinérská.

Cooperaiton and financial aid provided to neighboring towns and municipalities situated in the immediate neighborhood of the two localities which Česká rafinérská operates in, have enjoyed a long-term tradition, and are related to general contracts on cooperation, concluded by Česká rafinérská with the towns of Litvínov, Most and Meziboří, and further with those of Kralupy nad Vltavou, and Veltrusy, plus the municipality of Chvatěruby.

Part of this year´s agreements are singled out specific financial donations going to particular activities performed by the town or its organization operating therein. Apart from that, there is cooperation in exchange of information concerning protection, assistance in promotion of the region, and suchlike. Of significance is moreover cooperation with non-profit organizations of partnership towns and cooperation with primaries and secondary schools. It namely is here that PC equipment in schools gets revamped with Česká rafinérská providing desktop PCs and laptops. Though de-commissioned in CRC, these are perfectly up to the mark in terms of school requirements.

Partnership towns and municipalities appreciated the fact that Česká rafinérská continues to offer a helping hand to towns and municipalities situated in close neighborhood - despite the tough financial situation, as well as the fact the CRC keeps maintaining communication links in all areas of common concern.
